
Originally from Cape Cod, MA, Lu graduated from Boston College with a BA in education. She earned her MED from Curry College and received Master Certificates in literacy and special education. In 2009, she began writing professionally.
Today, Luanne Stevenson is a Freelance Writer and the VP of Editing for , in New York City.
She is a published ghost writer and posts on Blogcritics.org, an online news magazine; where her syndicated articles have been picked up by the Seattle PI; The Huffington Post; and USA Today.
She has interviewed local and national celebrities and various authors which have included: Emmy nominated choreographer, Stacey Tookey; Harriet Bronson, author and first wife of movie star Charles Bronson; Kingston 530, “The Boston Globe dubbed them ‘Boston’s hottest band’; Dana Precious, author of Born Under A Lucky Moon, and comedian and entertainer, Sal Richards.
She also writes book reviews for various marketing experts and some of her articles have been published (working as a hired ghostwriter for a recurrent guest writer in the Family Section) for the Washington Post. She previously wrote for the Boston Examiner as a “special-kids-and-special-education” contributor, writing content for the Education and Parenting Section. She also wrote for the Divine Moms blog at pandoraspantry.com, dedicated to mothers raising children with disabilities.
She owns and operates , a fully licensed professional writing service. Her past and present clients have included the Max Agency in Toronto, Canada (Modeling & Acting Talent), , businesses in MA, Cy-max Stores and clients from around the globe who contact her through Guru.com.
Lu created Essence of Life Chronicles in 2009. In the fall of 2010, Essence of Life Chronicles made the top 100 of family blogs ranked by Technorati. After Technorati changed how they calculate the ranks, the blog’s rank fell. Today, Essence of Life is ranked at 973 out of 16,740 Family Blogs.
